Dr. Sonal Singh Vaishnavi

Dr. Sonal Singh Vaishnavi is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions related to women’s reproductive health. At the Women’s Health Center, she serves as the director of the Clinical Gynecology Laboratory, which analyzes tissue samples to determine targeted treatments for individual patients.

In her research laboratory, Dr. Vaishnavi studies conditions affecting the female reproductive system, including ovarian and uterine abnormalities. She also investigates the development of benign and malignant gynecological conditions, with the goal of developing objective algorithms to assess disease progression and tailor personalized treatment plans.

Dr. Vaishnavi earned her MBBS and MS (Gold Medalist) from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). She completed her DNB in Obstetrics and Gynecology and pursued additional training through a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS).

In 2010, Dr. Vaishnavi joined a leading women’s health institute, where she chaired the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2011, she returned to her alma mater, BHU, where she holds the title of Distinguished Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology Research.
